GUSTARD R26 R2R Digital to Analog Convertor (DAC)
Discrete R2R ladder DAC with network streaming and high-resolution playback
The Gustard R26 is a desktop DAC designed for organic, detailed sound and flexible connectivity. Its fully-discrete R2R ladder architecture translates digital audio into smooth, lifelike playback, while integrated streaming, Bluetooth, and high-res support up to PCM 768 kHz and native DSD 512 make it easy to access your music. With balanced and single‑ended outputs, a robust aluminum chassis, and support for external clocking, the R26 brings precision and character to your listening setup.
Discrete R2R Ladder Converter
Crafted with a discrete resistor ladder (R2R) architecture, the R26 preserves the delicate detail and tonal nuance of musical recordings. Unlike delta-sigma DACs, this design ensures each digital step translates directly into voltage with minimal interpolation, offering clear and organic sound reproduction.
High-Resolution Playback
Connect through USB, Coax, AES, or Optical inputs to enjoy PCM playback up to 768 kHz and native DSD up to DSD512. Even higher rates—like DSD1024—are supported via IIS. The R26 makes it easy to appreciate finely recorded classical or audiophile-grade tracks without compromise.
Integrated Streaming & Bluetooth
Built-in XMOS and XU216 chips power network streaming (LAN-ready) and Bluetooth decoding. Stream from your favorite services, local NAS, or mobile device and seamlessly enjoy hi-res playback—all without needing external converters.
Accurate Clocking & Connectivity
Featuring a 10 MHz clock input via BNC, the R26 supports both square wave (0.2–3.3 V) and sine (0.5–3.3 V) signals. Locking into an external master clock reduces jitter for tighter sound staging and imaging.
Balanced & Single-Ended Outputs
Equip stereo rigs with clarity using both fixed-level XLR (5 Vrms) and RCA (2.5 Vrms) outputs. Low output impedance (100 Ω) ensures clean signal transfer to preamps or amps without coloration.
